Summer Camp Registration is Open!
The HEAL Project summer camp is packed with outdoor learning activities that inspire love of nature, appreciation of healthy food, and respect for our agricultural heritage. Campers plant, harvest, cook, hike, discover, craft, laugh, and learn during our farm-based camps. Through discovering the wonder of the natural world around us, campers build a deeper connection to nature, themselves, and one other.
Prices reflect a $50 Early Bird Discount until March 10!
“My daughter comes home inspired creatively, eager to cook and plant! She enjoys spending all day on the farm, being so close to nature.”
“HEAL camp helps to reinforce the important environmental lessons we try to instill in our children: conserving, recycling, growing our own food, being kind to all living things.”
A Typical Camp Day
Camp days kick off with free time and a group game. Next, we build camp agreements to ensure a fun, safe and educational camp space for everyone. We do three themed activities each day that vary between cooking, arts and crafts, science activities, hiking and helping out with farm projects.
After lunch, campers enjoy outdoor activities like the digging square, snail races, butterfly nets, and magnifying glasses. Our staff lead small-group games during this time, but we also leave it open to see what the campers want to explore! The afternoon includes snack and a story time that brings together farming and cooking concepts with age-appropriate books and tales.
We finish the day off by playing in the willow trees or on the play structure in the park before pick-up.
Your Co-Campers
Our camps are staffed with experienced outdoor educators. We have two staff members and one intern at every session. We cap out each week-long session at 22 campers so that we can maintain a low staff to camper ratio. This low ratio makes it possible for us to get to know each camper and also gives us the flexibility to adjust our schedule to fit the needs of the group. We love having parent volunteers and special community guests join us at camp to help out with activities!
